Voting will close on Monday 11 May and award winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony taking place in London on 26 May 2015, to be televised live on BT Sport 1, hosted by Jake Humphrey. The event will also be streamed on Facebook and Mirror.co.uk.
Celebrating excellence on the pitch, the Facebook Football Awards will allow fans a vote to decide who wins individual awards for Player and Young Player of the Year, as well as Best Premier League Club of the Year. Fans are also invited to select a full 11 man line-up in the BT Sport Best XI award, ensuring that the Premier League’s star goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards are all individually recognized for their outstanding club performances this season.
Seven of the nine award categories, which also include Manager of the Year and Content of the Year, are decided solely by votes from fans. The awards also shine a light on the extraordinary dedication of supporters, with the Mirror Football Fan of the Year award highlighting some truly committed fans, the winner of which will be voted on by the public. The evening will see a further two special awards handed out to a club and player based upon their performance on Facebook over the course of the season.
Open to football fans worldwide, anyone with a Facebook account is eligible to vote. Fans can vote via Football on Facebook, Sport on Facebook or through the pages of the awards’ partners: BT Sport and Mirror Football. Every fan has one vote to cast in each category.
