Soccer News: A Great Sunday For Panamericana FC LA
United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) Panamericana FC LA made it a double Sunday winning two match in one day using five starters in both games as they beat up on FC Santa Clarita 5-1 at Golden Valley High school to cap off a great day.
Earlier in the day Pan American FC LA won a California Soccer League semi-final match 1-0 against Penjamo on a goal by Eric Villalobos. With a great feeling throughout the team carpool they travelled the 50 miles from Boyle Heights to Santa Clarita and the winning play continued when they arrived.
FC Santa Clarita (0 points, 0-2-0) never had the contest close as Pan American FC LA (3 points, 1-1-0) player and head coach Villalobos deployed 4-4-2 formation with half the team on tired legs was able to get his men to play smart letting the ball run capitalizing on opportunities.
“Our impression of FC Santa Clarita is that they were a good team always fighting for the ball never giving up and competitive,” said Coach Villalobos who played and coached as well in both games. “They (FC Santa Clarita) need to work on communication but other than that they looked good.”
As the game opened between FC Santa Clarita and Pan American FC LA the home side could not find themselves or get any type of organization going running a 3-5-2 formation for the first time that saw them give up three first half goals.
One goal was earned by FC Santa Clarita after Philip Bosacci scored by converting a penalty kick however their was no comeback in the cards as Pan American FC LA added two more goals in the second half for a final score of 1-5 to give FC Santa Clarita their second lose of the season.
