Barons Organize March At Miller Park In Support Of Wisconsin Professional Soccer
Soccer is rapidly becoming the most talked about sport in America. The USA’s exciting win in the Women’s World Cup and all the media coverage may have heightened the pitch but the soccer fever in America has been building for years. The difference today? The power of grassroots movements in America can be seen on the soccer fields. While it has taken years for the world’s favorite sport to become entrenched in the American sports mentality, soccer has finally spouted its deep roots into our soil and now there are grassroots movements all across the country.
Here is a great example of soccer fans who want a professional team in their area and what they are willing to do to get their voice heard.
Soccer News: The Milwaukee Barons encourage all soccer fans attending the match between Newcastle United and Club Atlas to join the Miller Park March to help prove that Wisconsin can support a high-level professional outdoor soccer team.
The Barons are an independent supporters group focused on uniting the community in an effort to bring a true professional soccer team to the state of Wisconsin.
The March will start at 7:30 p.m. and will allow soccer fans of all teams an opportunity to unite and demonstrate that they are ready for a team as they march, chant and sing their way to the stadium. There will be a gathering and a tailgate for supporters beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the ‘Miller’ parking lot being held by various Milwaukee soccer pubs, that include the Highbury Pub, Three Lions Pub, Upper 90 Sports Pub, and Red Lion Pub on Tannery Row. The tailgate is a fundraiser for the Milwaukee Soccer Development Group and will include a DJ, soccer related games, as well as injury prevention assessments from HMS Milwaukee.

The Milwaukee Barons look to achieve their goal by working with independent supporters to help mobilize soccer enthusiasts from all backgrounds. To unite supporters, to positively impact their communities, and to help achieve the dream of bringing a true professional team (USL or NASL) to Wisconsin.
