Keith Tozer is Mr. Futsal in America.
For those of you who do not know, Tozer was the longtime head coach for our country’s Men’s National Futsal Team.
Working for U.S. Soccer starting in 1996 as the futsal head coach, Tozer led our country to many notable accomplishments including the U.S. Futsal Men’s National Team (USFMNT) victory his first year, winning gold at the 1996 CONCACAF Championship. Tozer then led his team to a CONCACAF bronze in 2000 and then back to crowning champions, earning another gold at the 2004 CONCACAF Championship. In addition to many other accomplishments, Tozer also coached the team to a seventh-place finish at the 2004 FIFA Futsal World Championship in Taipei. The USA qualified for these games and competed in Group C against Italy, Paraguay, and Japan, emerging with the #2 rank behind Italy. In the bracket, the USA defeated Paraguay and tied Japan.
Coached by Tozer, USA’s high scoring and two time Hermann Trophy winner Johnny Torres made the ranking for “Players – Top Goals” scored in the Futsal World Championship. Torres earned the #9 spot out of the 94 players ranks.
Tozer has developed more talent than most coaches will ever dream of.
Tozer has made a name for himself on the international futsal scene as a vocal supporter of the sport as well as a legendary coach.

Playing futsal is great training for soccer players and many of today’s superstar pros, like Cristiano Ronaldo, have benefited from futsal training.
“Players who play futsal are much more active with the ball than in outdoor,” said Tozer. “This builds confidence and fuels the fire for their passion to go play soccer.”
According to Sean Bowers, former captain of the U.S. Futsal Team and MLS defender, futsal improved his game immensely. Bowers has often remarked that Tozer is an outstanding, world-class coach.
