Chris Rael: What are your emotions after being selected in the NWSL College Draft?
Morgan Andrews: It’s a great honor – especially to go to Boston. I’m a New England girl through and through. It’s exciting to head back east and play in front of a home crowd.
I played for FC Stars and – it’s like going back home. I’m originally from New Hampshire, but New England is home. So it’s fun.
Chris Rael: What is your biggest strength on the field?
Morgan Andrews: On the field, one of my biggest strengths is my vision. I like to create plays. One of my goals for each game is to be part of the creative process of scoring goals – whether that’s me scoring one or to get an assist.
I want to contribute — this is definitely a goal of mine, and with every strength comes a weakness.
I know that I need to work on a few things as well. Off the field, I just want to be there for my teammates and do what’s best for the team.
Chris Rael: What is the biggest asset you bring to the team?
Morgan Andrews: I do think it’s my vision. I have a pretty long range on my passing. That would definitely be one of my strengths.
Chris Rael: What are your goals for the upcoming season?
Morgan Andrews: We always want to win.
We want to have a huge impact in Boston and be one of the best professional teams that there is.
I’ll do whatever I need to do for my team in order to make that happen.
