Dallas Cup Expands Media Coverage for 2019 Tournament
Dr Pepper Dallas Cup has announced a partnership with FloSports ahead of the 2019 tournament scheduled to kick off next month. Dallas Cup is the oldest international youth soccer tournament in the United States.
With more than 10,000 live competitions per year, FloSports provides live, in-depth, and on-demand digital coverage for sports fans.
Live and on-demand coverage of select matches will be broadcasted
As part of the agreement, approximately 25 quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship matches from the U13 through U19 age brackets will be aired live on FloFC – FloSports’ extension company. Additionally, FloFC will feature exclusive Dallas Cup content, including behind the scenes access with interviews, highlight packages, and off-field coverage.
The Dallas Cup and FloSports digital broadcast package complement Dallas Cup’s existing broadcast agreement with Univision Deportes Network of exclusive coverage of the Univision Deportes Super 14’s and of the Gordon Jago Super Group.
“We are thrilled to welcome FloSports to the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup broadcast family,” said Andy Swift, Dallas Cup Executive Director. “At a time when digital access to content is at a premium, the new partnership will augment our ability to deliver soccer fans high-quality viewing experiences for the Dallas Cup, while providing our athletes a unique platform to showcase their elite talents. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we are excited to partner with FloSports and continue to put a national spotlight on youth soccer.”
“Partnering with one of the most prestigious youth soccer tournaments in the United States and the world for their 40th anniversary year is an exciting addition for our soccer audience,” said Adam Armstrong, FloSports Director of Global Rights Acquisition. “The Dr Pepper Dallas Cup attracts elite clubs from all over the world and has showcased some of the best professional players in competition in recent times, including Wayne Rooney, Landon Donovan, and Clint Dempsey.
