Player To Watch: Julian Weigl
Borussia Dortmund’s 21 year-old Julian Weigl has been named as a new brand ambassador for PUMA, joining teammates Marco Reus and Marc Bartra. Weigl spent his youth career at TSV 1860 München and has played for BVB since July 2015.
Soccer News: PUMA has announced the latest addition to its all-star team as Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Weigl will wear the new PUMA evoPOWER Vigor 1.
The 21 year-old German international will surely be a key player for the Global Sports Brand at BVB next to his teammates Marco Reus, Roman Weidenfeller and Marc Bartra. PUMA strengthens its marketing activities with the new partnership as Weigl will serve as a new product ambassador for the evoPOWER Vigor and will be involved in all media and sales campaigns.
“I have got to know PUMA very well through their work with BVB,” said Weigl. “I really like their products as well as their marketing campaigns, and I look forward to the exciting campaigns that are in store for me in the next few months. It is a great honour to be part of the extensive PUMA family, which also includes legends like Lothar Matthäus, Pelé and Maradona.”

The 21 year-old midfielder has played at several levels for the German youth team and celebrated his senior national team debut in May 2016. He was a member of the German Squad at the European Championship 2016.
