Have Fun While Learning To Play Soccer The Arsenal Way
13-time English league champions Arsenal FC offers a program in the USA – Arsenal Soccer Schools. A unique opportunity for youth soccer players of all levels, this program can enhance the love of the beautiful game while developing skills in an authentic, EPL academy-style environment.
Arsenal Soccer Schools is a high caliber youth soccer program instilling a love of the beautiful game and professional-like soccer training. Led by David Evans, Director of Arsenal Soccer Schools North America, the program trains youth soccer players of all levels the ‘Arsenal Way’. Founded in 1886, Arsenal FC is one of the most successful English soccer clubs – they have won many championships and produced numerous top players including Fabregas and Thierry Henry.
Evans believes that elite player development should not only be for top players. While attracting top youth soccer talent from across the nation to its camps, Arsenal Soccer Schools knows that every player deserves the opportunity to benefit from professional, world-class training.
Proud that he can offer young players (Day Camp: Boys and Girls, 6-16) Overnight Camp: Boys and Girls 10-16,) of all talent levels the opportunity to work with youth coaches from one of the elite English and European clubs, this program offers day and overnight training camps.
This program features official Arsenal soccer coaches who travel over from London, England to work with the youth players. While it may surprise many parents and players, those attending these camps learn the same drills and tactics that Arsenal’s first team uses on the field today. America may be the home of football and baseball, but soccer players looking to further their player development often look to European soccer organizations, which have been successful for over a century.
What is the program like? It is always a good idea to review the program’s Daily Schedule and determine if there is a balance of training, games and rest. Another important tip – make sure the program provides for proper warm-up, which is usually a reflection of a professional program. Proper warm up can significantly aid in injury prevention.

“Over the past year, the response to the Arsenal Soccer Schools has been tremendous,” said Evans. “American players are receiving training in the comfort of their hometowns that is typically only available in soccer programs in England. All players leave the day camp with improved skills, expanded knowledge of the game, and fun memories with their Arsenal coaches.”
Evans completed his BA in History at Colgate University and worked in advertising in London and New York before joining Summerfuel in 1996.
