Orange County SC Beats Portland Timbers 2, Breaks Franchise Record & Extending Streak

Owned by James Keston and run by longtime soccer general manager Oliver Wyss, the Orange Country SC (OCSC) is a dynamic team on a well-deserved winning streak. In fact, OCSC’s unbeaten streak reached eight matches with a fourth straight victory.
For the more than six million people who live in the Orange and San Diego counties, OCSC is their pro team.

Orange County SC Game vs Portland Timbers 2 USL Recap:
Thrilling fans and making history by breaking its franchise record for wins in a single season (15), OSCS defeated Portland Timbers 2 with the final score of 3-2.
OCSC’s Joe Amico played a ball from the right wing through the penalty area to forward Thomas Enevoldsen, the USL Golden Boot leader. Enevoldsen buried the shot past Timbers 2 goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh for a great start to the USL soccer match.
The back and forth action continued as T2 midfielder Tomas Conechny equalized for Portland shortly before the half-time whistle.
A well deserved free kick earned OCSC the lead again in the 65th minute. OCSC’s midfielder Aodhan Quinn’s delivery led to a big McIntosh save off of a deflection, but teammate Alex Crognale was nearby to blast home the follow-up from close range.
Fun Fact: Quinn recorded over 100 touches in the match and connected on 88% of his 84 passes.
The back-and-forth excitement would continue with T2 leading scorer Foster Langsdorf equalizing for Portland in the 79th minute.
The streak was saved by USL’s top scorer who secured the victory for OCSC in the 85th minute. A cross from defender Noah Powder was met by a nifty backheel from Enevoldsen. The game-winning goal was his 16th on the campaign. OCSC Goalkeeper Luis Lopez made four big saves to help bring home the victory.
