All of Southern California is a mecca for player development and San Diego is a thriving capital of elite youth soccer activities. The Spring / Summer youth soccer camp season is just about to kick off and one of the very first programs offers a spring awakening for competitive youth soccer players in the San Diego area who wish to improve this performance on the soccer field both in technical skill and soccer intelligence.
The Techniques Soccer Spring Rebirth Camp is a 4 day program that promises to sweat the techniques and nurture your love for the game. With a core focus on speed, agility and quickness – the camp will start off each day with exercise to awaken the athlete and the mind. Challenging games focusing on technical ability and tactical components will follow culminating in a small sided week long World Cup competition.
Youth soccer coaches Paul Dolinsky and Mark Spooner — both San Diego Surf SC coaches will lead this week of fun in an environment created to enhance player development. Spooner is from England and was formerly with the Birmingham City Football Club, and Dolinsky is an American born player who went pro as a teenager when he was noticed by scouts from Dutch football club Feyenoord Rotterdam.
Dolinksy was only 15 when he was invited to train for two weeks with Feyenoord, arriving on his sixteenth birthday. A few months later he signed his first professional contract. After playing for two seasons with Feyenoord, and later Heerenveen, Dolinsky returned to the USA to join the Chicago Fire Reserves.
