Registration Open for the Long Island Futsal League
New York Soccer News: The Long Island Futsal League is one of the largest futsal leagues in the US
The Long Island Futsal League (LIFL) kicked off play in December 1996 at the World Gym in East Setauket. Over two decades later and under the umbrella of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA), it’s one of the largest futsal leagues in the United States.
Last winter, over 200 youth teams–both boys and girls–played futsal at gymnasiums in central Suffolk County as it’s a great answer to the New York winter when our fields are too frozen to play on.

What’s new for the upcoming winter is more availability and venues than ever before.
Gyms to be used are in the Connetquot School District (Connetquot High School and Oakdale-Bohemia Middle School), Middle Country School District (Centereach High School and Newfield High School), Three Village School District (Murphy Junior High School) and Our Savior New American School in Centereach.
Clinics for developing U8 and U9 teams, an easier registration process and electronic check submission should make this winter season go smoothly.
Also new is the renovated league website.
Registration closes on December 8, 2019, with the season kicking off on the weekend of January 4 and 5, 2020. Come in from the cold and play futsal this winter.

Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association: With 100,000 youth soccer players–both boys and girls–and more than 25,000 volunteers, the non-profit Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) reaches from Montauk Point, Long Island to the Canadian border. Members are affiliated with nine leagues throughout the association, which covers the entire state of New York east of Route 81. ENYYSA exists to promote and enhance the game of soccer for children and teenagers between the ages of 5 and 19 years old and to encourage the healthy development of youth players, coaches, referees, and administrators.
