LLFC and Avon have teamed up to help inspire the next generation of women to believe in themselves and find the confidence to achieve their goals. Avon will also become Liverpool Ladies FC’s Principal Partner, as well the Club’s Official Ladies Beauty Partner.
Soccer News: Liverpool Ladies Football Club has announced a new shirt sponsorship deal with iconic women’s beauty and cosmetics company, Avon Products Inc., ahead of the WFA WSL Spring Series.
The three-year deal is the first agreement of its kind for LLFC, which will see Avon become the first independent shirt sponsor to appear on the front of the Reds shirt.
Established in 1886, Avon passionately believes in empowering women around the globe. For the first time in its history, Avon will become the first female-focused brand to sponsor a premier ladies soccer team.
The Reds’ team kit will feature Avon’s logo for their first game of the WSL Spring Series against Yeovil Town Ladies at Huish Park on April 23rd.
“We are delighted to be able to team up with Avon ahead of the WSL Spring Series,” said Liverpool Ladies FC Manager. “It’s an exciting time for the team and we hope that the partnership will help to inspire the next generation of female footballers.”
“Avon’s purpose is to inspire and create a world with more empowered women,” said Andrea Slater, General Manager of Avon UK. “This sponsorship aims to inspire women all over the world to drive real change in women’s football – breaking down social barriers, challenging stereotypes, and empowering young girls and women to play the sport that they love.”
In other news, Liverpool FC Legends will join Jurgen Klopp’s men in Sydney this May when they play a postseason match. Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Daniel Agger and Steve McManaman will join the first team on the pitch at ANZ Stadium.
Former captain Gerrard and his former teammates will complete the team of past and present players who will play this special game in honor of the club’s rich heritage on Wednesday, May 24th.
“It will be an honor to pull on the Red shirt and play football with an outstanding squad and former team mates – this is what Liverpool is all about, celebrating the family that has been around for 125 years,” said Gerrard. “Our fans in Australia always give us a warm welcome so it’ll be a great feeling to see the ANZ Stadium turn red on 24th May.”
