Futsal is the new rage in American soccer. However, as is often the case, the U.S. is just catching on to what the world already knows. Former Head Coach for the U.S. Futsal Men’s National Team, Keith Tozer hosts the World of Futsal and invites guests who are among the most influential in today’s world of futsal and soccer.
Tozer interviewed recently Anson Dorrance, the head coach of the women’s soccer program at the University of North Carolina. Dorrance is nationally recognized as a leader in women’s soccer. The former U.S. Women’s National Team head coach was named the 2016 winner of the prestigious Werner Fricker Builder Award and has earned one of the most successful coaching records in the history of athletics.
When interviewed by Tozer, this National Soccer Hall of Famer was clear — Futsal is superb training for becoming an excellent soccer player.
Futsal is a Game Changer
Why are more people not playing futsal?
Although attracting talent is key to being successful in the collegiate game, we take great pride in developing a player to their potential.
Futsal gives the players confidence. Futsal is like a little piece of magic.
If we are going to stay competitive in world arena, we have to make sure futsal is part of the playing personality of all of our elite players.
Tozer, who is the Commissioner of the Professional Futsal League (PFL), the Technical Director of U.S. Youth Futsal, and a FIFA Futsal Instructor, credits the game of futsal for his six indoor championships and is the All-Time Winningest Coach in Professional Indoor Soccer in North America. With over 25,000 listeners discovering the World of Futsal since its kick off in September, Tozer is proud of how popular the podcast has become.
“World of Futsal should reach over 100,000 listeners within 2019,” said Tozer.
