Sky Blue FC Partners With New Jersey Youth Soccer for 2016 Season
Sky Blue FC of the NWSL builds for youth development as the club partners with New Jersey Youth Soccer for the 2016 season. The two organizations will host community events throughout the year along with NJ Youth Soccer hosting theme nights at Sky Blues’ matches during the season.
Soccer News: Sky Blue FC (1-1-0, 3 points) of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and New Jersey Youth Soccer made official today that they have developed a partnership for the 2016 season. Along with many community initiatives throughout the year, NJ Youth Soccer will also host a variety of theme nights with Sky Blue FC during its home matches this season at Yurcak Field.
“We are pleased to build upon this very important relationship with New Jersey Youth Soccer,” said Tony Novo, Sky Blue FC President & General Manager. “New Jersey Youth Soccer has been a great supporter of Sky Blue FC, and we look forward to taking another step in our development together. Both of our organizations are focused on growing soccer in the State of New Jersey, and we will continue to find ways to strengthen the sport through this partnership.”
As part of the relationship, Sky Blue FC will host an Olympic Development Program (ODP) Night when the team hosts the Western New York Flash on Saturday, May 7th. Kickoff for that match is slated for 7:00 p.m., and tickets are available now.
“NJ Youth Soccer is proud to partner with Sky Blue FC to help build upon the incredible tradition of the women’s game in our state,” said Roy Squillario, President of NJ Youth Soccer. “We look forward to working closely with their staff and coaches to develop the next generation of Sky Blue FC stars.”
Collectively, Sky Blue FC and NJ Youth Soccer will work together to grow youth soccer and increase the support for the women’s professional game, with NJ Youth Soccer also offering professional development opportunities to players on the Sky Blue FC roster. In addition to the upcoming ODP Night, Sky Blue FC will also host a TOPSoccer and NJ Youth Soccer Night, and the team will have representatives on hand at a variety of NJ Youth Soccer events such as TOPSoccer, State Cups, ODP and their Annual Awards Dinner.

Sky Blue FC travels south this week to play a Friday night road fixture with the Houston Dash before returning to Yurcak Field on Saturday, May 7th, to host the Western New York Flash. Tickets for that match are available now. All fans who eat at Quaker Steak & Lube in Edison before the game will also receive free parking for the match.
